About
BETA-H is a longitudinal study utilizing behavioural economic (BE) measures to predict changes in alcohol misuse from age 20 – 25 years old and to understand the other contributing risk factors and their relationship to the measures used.
The study enrolled 730 young adults from Greater Hamilton area. The participants will be followed for three-and-a-half years.

Canada Bill S-20: The Genetic Non-Discrimination Act
This law prohibits a person being required to disclose the results of a genetic test. The law also provides individuals with other protections related to genetic testing and test results. This law extends to the Canada Labour Code and the Canadian Human Rights Act to prohibit discrimination on the ground of genetic characteristics.
